About us
Connect Therapy Co., is a paediatrics focussed psychology service based in Dunsborough, Western Australia. We service the South West region, offering both assessment and intervention services to clients. These services can be provided in clinic, via telehealth, at home and/or school upon request. Our psychologists have experience working with and guiding those with anxiety, depression, autism, intellectual disability, global developmental delay, emotional regulation concerns, obsessive compulsive disorder and trauma.
MADDIE
Psychologist
Maddie is a registered psychologist with a Bachelor of Psychology from Curtin University. She has a keen interest and experience in paediatrics and uses a range of therapeutic styles including; cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and play therapy to best support children and adolescents. Maddie is trained in the protective behaviours program. She has a passion to help children and adolescents recognise their strengths by providing support to both the individual and their family to incorporate a holistic approach to the therapy process. Maddie has worked in the community for several years and has built connections with other allied health professionals and is happy to work with other professionals as a part of a multidisciplinary approach.
EMILY L
Psychologist
Emily L (Em) is a registered psychologist who holds a Master of Professional Psychology from Monash University. She has a background in education and a strong passion for neuroaffirming, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practice. Emily is herself ADHD and neurodivergent, and brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work, which informs her understanding, empathy, and commitment to affirming care.
Before retraining as a psychologist, Emily spent 13 years working as a teacher—experience that continues to inform her work with young people and families through a warm, practical, and real-world-focused approach.
Emily has lived and worked overseas in the UK, as well as across regional and remote parts of Australia, including North Queensland and the Kimberley. These experiences have strongly shaped her values and guide her approach to psychology, with a strong emphasis on culture, context, and community.
In her clinical work, Emily draws on a range of evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and attachment- and trauma-informed approaches. She is passionate about supporting children and adolescents to recognise their strengths and works collaboratively with clients and their families to provide client-centred, individualised care throughout the therapy journey.
BETHANY
Psychologist
Bethany is a registered psychologist who completed her Bachelor of Psychology at Curtin University and her Master of Psychology (Clinical) at ISN Psychology. She has a strong interest in paediatrics, particularly supporting adolescents and young people through an attachment-based and family systems perspective.
Bethany is passionate about building meaningful therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, empathy, and genuine connection to create a safe space where clients feel seen and understood.
She has experience working with children, teenagers and adults and draws on a range of therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and dialectical behaviour therapy. Bethany values a holistic approach to therapy and enjoys collaborating with families to support lasting and meaningful change. She is dedicated to helping young people build insight, resilience and confidence
EMILY
Psychologist
Emily is a registered psychologist with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at Curtin University, and post-graduate studies in autism and education from the University of Western Australia. Emily has extensive experience in the private education sector and her previous experience within child protection as a psychologist has contributed to her passion for incorporating attachment-focused strategies into her work with children and families, particularly utilising the Circle of Security Parenting intervention as a registered facilitator. She is passionate about supporting and empowering parents to do their best during the journey that is raising little people with as much information and support as possible. Emily draws on a range of intervention modalities, including cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and trauma-informed approaches. She has a passion for assessment with children and adults.
KIMBERLEE
Psychologist
Dr Kim Burrows is a registered psychologist who holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Murdoch University.
Following graduation, she worked in child protection before completing a PhD in paediatric forensic psychology in 2014. She then worked as a university lecturer in child development at Deakin University, Melbourne. Kim has contributed to the field through more than 10 peer-reviewed publications, including journal articles and book chapters.
Kim has extensive experience as a school psychologist in Perth and as a consultant psychologist across schools in the South West.
In her therapeutic work, Kim draws on a range of evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She is particularly passionate about supporting neurodivergent young people and providing interventions for young people experiencing suicidal ideation or self-harm. Kim enjoys working collaboratively with families and schools to develop practical, meaningful strategies for her clients.
Kim loves building strong, authentic connections with the young people she works with and brings a playful, curious, and dedicated approach to therapy.
When she’s not working, Kim is probably playing on the beach with her three young children and their dog, Wally.
LOWRI
Speech Pathologist
Lowri received a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from the University of Notre Dame before returning to study to complete a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (first class honours) at Curtin University. Lowri is passionate about supporting children to communicate, learn and thrive in ways that work in the real world (not just in the therapy room). Her clinical experience includes working with neurodivergent clients and their families, early intervention and development, literacy and specific learning disorders, speech sound development, motor speech disorders and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She has completed further studies in Auditory Verbal Therapy and enjoys supporting children with hearing impairment to develop listening, spoken language and literacy skills.
Lowri thrives when collaborating as part of multidisciplinary teams to holistically support clients to achieve their goals.
